DNI was honoured to attend the official opening of the St David’s Marist Inanda Alex Campus ICT Lab, a transformative project proudly sponsored by the DNI Group and the Fanaka Foundation.
This initiative stands as a beacon of possibility for the high school boys in Alexandra, Johannesburg. What began as a school of just five boys has now grown into a thriving community of over a hundred, all receiving the same quality education, sports, and teaching resources as their peers at St David’s in Sandton.
The new ICT lab is equipped with state-of-the-art computers and robotics technology, supporting CAT and IT subjects, and unlocking new worlds of learning. During the opening, the Grade 9 students held a coding and robotics demonstration, proof that access to the right tools unleashes incredible capability and aptitude.
DNI Group CEO, Dr Ryan Noach, reminded us that this ICT lab is a gateway to dreams, potential, and opportunities which many thought were out of reach. “We do not wait for opportunities, we seek them out”. The inspiring speeches from Mr Mike Thiel, Executive Head of St David’s Marist Inanda, and Mr Lewis Manthata, head of St David’s institution, reinforced the importance of investing in education that transforms lives.
Andrew Dunn, chairman of the DNI Group, participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the new St David’s Alex ICT lab celebrating progress, unity, and purpose.
By supporting this project, we are investing in future leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers, young men who we hope to see driving impact in technology-driven industries in the near future, perhaps even within DNI.
True innovation is about creating equal opportunities, lifting communities, and shaping futures through technology. The ripple effects of this initiative will be felt for years to come and the possibilities are limitless!
