From Fabric to Future: Creating Access Through Action

Our organisation participated in a unique Mission Impossible-themed team-building initiative with a meaningful purpose. In collaboration with the Afribiz Foundation, The Fanaka Foundation, and Ubuntu Legacy, our employees learned how to design and sew reusable, eco-friendly sanitary towels in support of reducing period poverty.

This initiative addresses a critical challenge faced by many young girls in South Africa, the lack of access to sanitary products, which results in them missing up to five days of school each month. The products created are not only environmentally sustainable but also safe, non-toxic, and have a durability of up to 5 years!

Throughout the day, our employees engaged in every step of the process, from stenciling and cutting to sewing and assembling. This hands-on experience assisted our employees in developing a valuable skill and also underscored the power of collective action in creating lasting social impact.

We are proud to have contributed to a cause that restores dignity, supports education, and empowers the next generation of women. This initiative reaffirms our belief that meaningful change is achieved when purpose, vision and action work hand in hand!
